The misconception: you are "locked in"
The idea that an escape room means sitting behind a lock for an hour holds many people back. Understandable, because that is what the name suggests. But it is not how it works. With us the door can always be opened. If you want out — for some fresh air, to calm down, or simply to stop — you step out. No discussion, and the game is not immediately over for the rest.
More spacious and open than people think
Most people expect a small, dark cupboard. Our rooms are considerably more spacious and open than that: there is space to walk around, your group is not squeezed together and there is light to work by. You are busy with puzzles, not with the walls.
Someone is always watching
A game master follows every game live via cameras and microphones, so they also see how you are doing. If you get stuck you get a hint. If the game master notices someone is uncomfortable, they step in. You are never alone in that room, even though nobody is physically with you.
Tips if you are apprehensive
- Choose a more spacious or brighter room. Give us a call and we will advise which room feels calmest.
- Play with a group. Being together with people you know feels far less loaded than going as a pair.
- Tell us in advance. If we know someone is claustrophobic, we take that into account and explain beforehand how to step out.
Still unsure? Feel free to call 038 202 2646 — we will tell you exactly what to expect without spoiling the game. You will find us at Burgemeester Drijbersingel 19, 8021 DA Zwolle. Ready to give it a try? Go to booking.
