Why an escape room makes a good date
On a first date you often sit across from each other with a coffee and a list of questions. In an escape room you stand side by side, with one shared goal and a ticking clock. That changes everything. You immediately see how someone reacts under a little pressure: does he stay calm, does she start laughing, who dares to take a guess and who prefers to read the clue one more time? In sixty minutes you get to know someone faster than in three evenings of talking.
Best of all: there are no awkward silences. There is always something to do, something to discover and something to laugh about together — even if a blind date does not click straight away.
Just the two of you in one room
As a couple you play one room together. You do not compete against each other: you are a team. Battle mode, where two teams take each other on, is meant for larger groups of 7 to 12 players (in The Courtroom and The Deal) — so it does not apply to a date.
Which rooms work well for two
Some rooms play more comfortably with a small group than others. We made an overview for that: have a look at escape room for 2 or 3 people and pick the room that suits you. Not sure? Call 038 202 2646 and we will help you choose the room that fits your evening best.
Our game masters follow the game live via cameras and microphones. If you get stuck you get a hint — you are never on your own. And the door can always be opened.
Make an evening of it
After the game you will want to talk about that one code you cracked just in time. You can do that right away in the Escape Café, with something to eat or drink. That turns an hour of play into a full evening.
Great around Valentine's Day
Around Valentine's Day an escape room is a surprising gift: more original than flowers and a lot more exciting than a standard dinner. But honestly: it works all year round. Find more inspiration on our date outing, or go straight to booking.
